Cathye Griffin Betzel, Psy.D.
Cathye Griffin Betzel is the assistant director for training for Cook Counseling Center where she coordinates the APA accredited, doctoral internship in psychology as well as the post-doctoral and practicum training programs. Her professional areas of interest include psychological assessment and women’s issues, with a special interest in couples and family relationships . Her theoretical orientation is primarily systemic with influences from cognitive behavioral, interpersonal and constructivist theories.
Betzel is a licensed clinical psychologist. She holds a Psy.D. from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology. She is a member of the American Psychological Association (divisions 12 – clinical psychology and 17 – counseling psychology), and the Virginia Academy of Clinical Psychologists. Betzel is listed as a Health Service Provider in the National Register of Health Services in Psychology.
