Virginia Tech

Virginia Tech is the largest state university in Virginia with an enrollment of approximately 25,000 students. Current enrollment includes students from all areas of the United States as well as international students from approximately 109 countries. The university has a large graduate student population and is known as a research-oriented university. It has 8 colleges including Agriculture, Architecture & Urban Studies, Liberal Arts & Human Sciences, Business, Engineering, Natural Resources, Science, and Veterinary Medicine, plus the Graduate School.  The campus includes more than 100 buildings and about 2,600 acres in Blacksburg. In addition to academic excellence, Virginia Tech is known as the home of the ACC Hokies.  The University is committed to cultural diversity. Students come to study from all around the globe, and receive support through the Cranwell International Center.  Student organizations relating to diverse populations and interests are active on campus. Diversity resources include  such offices and services as Multicultural Programs and the Women's Center at Virginia Tech.
