Emergency Evacuation Procedures

Following are procedures for evacuating the Counseling Center in an emergency situation (even if we know it is a drill).

1.    Exit the building at the nearest door to you.

2.    If you have a client or anyone else with you, bring them along. 

3.    If anyone is in the Waiting/Intake area, ask them to stop what they are doing and follow you.

4.    Close, but do not lock, your office door.

5.    Once outside everyone will gather on the front walkway of McComas (Washington Street side).  Those going out the back door (greenhouse side) will need to walk around.

6.    Sandy will have a roll call to make sure everyone is accounted for.

7. Do not return to the building until the fire safety staff gives the all-clear.
