DVD RECORDING PROCEDURE
1. DVD recorders in the closet should be on already and should not be turned off. If the power happens to be off, press the power button to turn the machine on, but there is a time lag of 5-10 minutes before the machine is ready to record.
2. Press the [OPEN/CLOSE] button to open the DVD drive bay and insert the DVD-Ram disk. Do not use DVD-R, DVD-RW, or CD-RW disks.
3. Press the [OPEN/CLOSE] button again to close the drive.
4. Press the [CHANNEL UP / DOWN] button to set the recorder to your office channel.
5. Press the [RECORD] button to begin recording.
6. Flip the camera switch in your office to [ON] after the client gives their consent to be recorded.
7. When recording is finished, press the [STOP] button.
8. Press the [OPEN/ CLOSE] button to open the drive door and remove the disk from the drive. Press the [OPEN/ CLOSE] button again to close the drive.
DVD PLAYBACK PROCEDURE
(Using Panasonic DVD Players Attached to TVs)
1. Turn on TV. TV should be set to Channel 3
2. Turn on DVD player. Press [OPEN/CLOSE] button to open disc tray. Insert disc and press [OPEN/CLOSE] again to close disc tray.
(Note: (The disc should be recognized automatically and playback switched to the DVD mode. If not, press the “Input” button on the TV remote control to switch to the DVD player.)
3. Use [SKIP] button to move between sessions.
4. Press [PLAY] button to play selected session.
5. Use [SEARCH] button to fast forward or rewind during the session.
DVD PLAYBACK PROCEDURE
(Using LG External Drives Attached to Computers)
1. Press the button on the front of the external drive to open the disc tray. Place DVD in the drive. Press the button again to close the drive.
2. Open Power DVD program on the computer.
3. Use buttons on the on-screen “remote control” (or the disappearing toolbar at the top of the screen) to play, move between chapters, or to set bookmarks. (When you run your mouse pointer over the buttons, the names of the buttons will appear.)
· Press the large arrow button to play.
· Press the [MENU] button, then [PROGRAM SET VIEWER] to see thumbnails of all of the titles on the DVD. Click on one to select it
· There is a timer on the left side of the “remote” for you to note a place you would like to mark for review. You can also make a bookmark by clicking on the [PAD] button and selecting [ADD BOOKMARK] from the buttons on the right side of the pad. To return to the bookmarked place in the recording, click the [GO TO BOOKMARK] button on the right side of the pad.
DVD ERASING PROCEDURE
To erase all titles on the DVD (page 51 of DVD recorder manual):
1. Place the DVD in Recorder # 4. The remote control labeled #4 will only work on this unit and not on the others.
2. Press [FUNCTIONS] button
3. Press up or down arrows to select “Other Functions” and press [ENTER]
4. Press up or down arrows to select “DISC MANAGEMENT” and press [ENTER]
5. Press up or down arrows to select “ERASE ALL TITLES” and press [ENTER]
6. Press forward or back arrows to select “Yes” and press [ENTER]
7. Press forward or back arrows to select “Start” and press [ENTER]. A message appears when finished.
8. Press [ENTER]
9. To exit the screen press [RETURN]
To erase selected titles on the DVD (page 39 of DVD recorder manual):
1. Place the DVD in Recorder # 4. The remote control labeled #4 will only work on this unit and not on the others.
2. Press [DIRECT NAVIGATOR]
3. Press forward or back arrows to select title to be erased
4. Press [SUB MENU]
5. A list of choices will pop up. “Erase Title” will be highlighted. Press [ENTER]
6. Use back arrow to select “Yes” and press [ENTER]
7. After erasing is complete, press [RETURN] to exit the menu
